I realised I was in need of a new approach and soon, in order to survive. But how do you do it? As a young Belgian girl, suffering from an alcohol addiction in combination with an eating disorder, it’s hard work keeping up appearances. My mind and my body were so tired. I tried doing it alone, but I couldn’t stay clean. Scared, broken and lonely I arrived in South Africa.
Bit by bit, the therapy sessions, sport activities brought back my old self. What made me accept my faith the most? Being surrounded with so many beautiful people who understand my story and who lived my story. I am forever grateful for the LH team, they helped me grow out to a strong woman, capable of facing life’s problems with a clear mind.
